The Week in Pictures: May 2 - 9
Thu May 9, 2013
I always hated the FB tie, and refused to join in. Thank you for (finally) listening to your people.
Are one woman's photos too inappropriate to go in a yearbook?
Mon Jan 9, 2012
Yes, it is a racy photo. Yes, it goes beyond the pale from what I would have seen in my generation (h.s. 1970). But, if the rules of acceptance were not spelled out PRIOR to submission of the photo, she has the right to have it published.
Have you ever regretted your child's name?
Mon May 9, 2011
I love my son's names -- both of them. But we chose to call him by his middle name. I would never do that to a child again.
Which party would you blame for a government shutdown?
Tue Apr 5, 2011
The Tea Party. They are a jinx on an inefficient system. Both parties are too partisan and the Tea Party is not representative.
'Test Baby' Super Bowl ad gets big edit after complaints
Wed Feb 9, 2011
The ad is just stupid. And the comments are, too. People! Read what you're writing, and watch your spelling. It's difficult to give any of you much credence based upon your writing. Watching the ad, I'm reminded once again about why I don't watch television (yes, even the Super Bowl).
Should employers be allowed to change the first names of employees whose names are difficult to understand or pronounce?
Mon Oct 26, 2009
Your "no" is too limiting. These are (mostly) not immigrants or foreigners. They are American born citizens who happened to be here before this guy showed up with his money. But because he has the money and the clout he thinks he can change them. No. No. No. He is totally out of line.
What do you think of an Ohio school's suspension of a teenager for attending his girlfriend's prom?
Mon May 11, 2009
...but the rule is stupid! However, if I believed in those values enough to choose that school I would expect him to face repercussions.
Do you think Sarah Palin should run for president in 2012?
Thu Nov 6, 2008
She is a scary personality. I think the Repubs had best be very careful of her.
Do you agree with the gay-marriage bans?
Wed Nov 5, 2008
No! No! No! I cannot see any problem with this except for poor, uneducated people who are intolerant. It isdiscrimination/bigotry.
Is it appropriate for the GOP to spend $150,000 on Sarah Palin's wardrobe?
Wed Oct 22, 2008
My guess is that a small time governor from a rural state would need a new wardrobe for the big time.
